Are we nearly there yet? Are we nearly there yet? Are we nearly there yet????

I think it’s fair to say we’re all familiar with the plaintive refrain “Are we nearly there yet?” when on a journey with the kids.

Even if you don’t have children, we’ve all been small at one time and I would guess we’ve all said it at some point in our lives.

I even say it now – and I’ve got kids of my own. I can’t help it, I bore easily especially on a journey when I’m just sat. If I’m driving it’s not so bad as there are other road users I can grumble about so it alleviates the monotonous growl from the tarmac and the repetitive dissonance from the back.

Recently we all went out as a family and I found myself worrying that we would get to where we were going and it would be packed with visitors and we would have to queue for ages to get tickets.

I wished I’d bought tickets online in advance

It may surprise you to know that I don’t like queuing probably more than I hate long journeys and I started to wish I’d bought tickets online in advance. You would think that working for a web ticketing software company I would have been on this and done it.

Well I didn’t – and when we got there the cars were queuing for what seemed like miles. A voice from the back said “We should have got tickets online before we left.” which was a really helpful contribution from my wife.

My response to that was an agitated “We would still have to queue!” It was then pointed out to me that there was priority access for ticket holders.

The vein in my head began to throb

So as I watched car after car full of happy families with smiling faces pressed against the windows the vein in my head began to throb and even though we did eventually get in and the kids enjoyed themselves, I spent the remainder of the day fighting a creeping migraine.

Next time we go I will definitely be getting tickets in advance which will enable us to enjoy ourselves to the max and if you yourself operate an attraction and you need a ticketing system like WebTicketManager then I would always say giving people the option of buying online with an incentive like priority access is a boon.

WebTicketManager offers plenty of features like up selling, cross selling and affiliate selling which can all help incentivise online ticket purchases – you’re only limited by your imagination.
