Ticket fraudsters and touts can’t touch your online ticket sales

I can’t believe we’re almost at the end of another year, and what a year it has been for UK ticket sales.

2012 saw the awe-inspiring Olympics held in London, WebTicketManager has taken on many more ticket selling events and attractions and there have been some fantastic music festivals and concerts to boot.

As you may remember earlier in the year the Olympics official ticket agency CoSport enraged hundreds of purchasers when they told them to queue and collect their tickets from a box office in London after failing to fulfill their requirement to post them.

Also there has been uproar over ticket prices and the booking fees associated with them when fans are buying to see their favourite bands or artists or indeed to attend music festivals.

However another hot potato according to Action Fraud, who are the UK’s national fraud and internet crime reporting centre, is that the amount of people complaining about online ticket fraud has increased.

Operation Podium was setup to combat fraudulent ticket sales for the Olympics and sadly because this event has now passed the operational department is to be closed. This is a great shame as the buying confidence of the public online is again going to take a knock.

However when using WebTicketManager you and your customers can be sure of a totally secure ticket buying experience. Also as purchased tickets are print-at-home there is no need to involve the postal system and the touts are out of business too. Simply pay, download and print. Job done.

If only the Olympic committee had thought of using WebTicketManager.
