I remember as a kid I used to get book tokens or vouchers for WHSmith as birthday presents, and this always used to make me sigh inside.
I always used to maintain that the voucher was a way of saying “I couldn’t be bothered thinking of what to get you!”
However in the past few years my attitude has changed toward the fabled “voucher”. Why? Because vouchers can be a lot more than just a sad book token which you invariably use and have to add some of your own money to.
WebTicketManager has a number of family members who offer vouchers for their events or attractions.
These vouchers are purchased online and emailed to you. You can then print it out or email it to the lucky recipient.
Imagine their faces when they open that voucher and realise they’ve been gifted a ride on the longest zip line in Europe or time on a massive underground trampoline…. now picture their face when they open their card and a book token flutters out and you can visibly see them thinking “that’s not a tenner.”
Nowadays if I get a voucher for M&S I usually trade it for cash from my mum as she likes shopping there. However I think I’ve still got a few vouchers for Zodiac Toy’s that I never used because I couldn’t trade those, but I definitely wouldn’t trade a zip line experience.
